Pearl District Parks
The three city parks in the Pearl District were all designed for a unique and specific purpose; to benefit and monumentalize the neighborhood. Hoyt and The City of Portland shared a vision of incorporating usable open space in the early stages of establishing The Pearl District as a mixed use urban neighborhood.
Jamison Square Park

The first park addition was Jamison Square. Located on NW 11th between NW Johnson and Kearney Street. Jamison Square is a popular community attraction year round, especially during the warmer months, when the fountains cascade from tiers of rock benches, creating a shallow pool perfect for splashing around in the summer heat. Jamison Square is also home to the vibrant towering Tiki Totems commissioned by HOYT and donated by The Pearl Arts Foundation.
Tanner Springs

Tanner Springs Park provides an element of nature and historic symbolism to the neighborhood. Located on NW 10th Avenue, between NW Marshall and Northrup Street. Tanner Springs Park beautifully creates balance in the neighborhood by encompassing a natural oasis amongst the modern architecture surrounding the park. The park highlights the history of the Pearl District, with the whimsical fence constructed from old railroad tracks and the wetlands in the park symbolize the history of the neighborhood.
The Fields Park

The Fields Park is located on NW Overton, between NW 10th and 11th Avenues. The circular grass field, aesthetically mimics the curvature of the Freemont Bridge, and curve of The Encore Condominiums. This urban green space includes accessible picnic areas and play area, paved walking path, fenced off-leash dog area and plenty of room for sports activities and special events.
